A. Before Purchasing
- Always ask for a detailed out the door price.
B. When Inspecting a Car in Person
- Touch the hood to make sure the car is cold and wasn't moved prior to your arrival.
- Always scan the car's computer to make sure that all monitors are set and no pending check engine codes exist.
- If you don't have a scanner ask for one, if one is not provided then run.
- Move the car slightly from where it was parked to make sure there are no wet spots underneath.
- Does the car have new inspection stickers?
- Check for flood / water damage
- Mold smell present?
- Pull out all seat belts to make sure there are no mold spots
- Check under the spare tire for rust and signs of water
C. Test Drive
